Say you need to wake up at 5 AM every day as you need to do many things. You tried so hard but in the end, you fail. So here is a tip for you

Let’s say you usually wake up at 7 AM and you want to wake up every day at 5 AM. Your strategy is by directly wake up at 5 AM. On the first day you are on fire but the next couple of days you find it hard. You say to yourself your bed is too comfy and think it’s better for laying a bit longer but you don’t realize time has gone and when you wake up again, it is already 7 AM and then you would regret it because you should have gotten up at the first time you woke up

so what can you do? You can set small steps to achieve that. But why? You may not tolerate such too big challenge like that. 7 AM to 5 AM, the difference is too long. Your body has been getting used to waking up at 7 AM that’s why waking up at 5 AM could be really challenging. It is hard to change habits.

To change that habit, setting small steps can be an option. By setting small steps your body will not be shocked and find it natural as if there is no change, but yep it sounds like deceiving your body but I think this is gonna work.

So let’s set a small step to wake up at 5. The step is to wake up 10 minutes earlier. it sounds easier, right? You will wake up 10 minutes faster every day for a week then for the next week you wake up 10 minutes faster than the previous week, do that over and over until you wake up at 5. Say now is 18 June and the plan will be like this

See..! by waking up 10 minutes faster every week you can wake up at 5 in less than 3 months, it may take time but it gets your goal achieved. And for waking up early avoid waking up at a later time on the weekend as it will affect your body on Monday. You are gonna find your body lazy on Monday and really hard to get out of bed again

But not only to wake up early to set small steps for achieving a goal is also applicable to other cases like learning and mastering new things, changing bad habits, etc
